And I'm back!

Well R&R has come and gone.  Much too fast!!  We had a great time though.  We took our first family vacation to the beach.  It was a good two weeks, but dropping him back off was definitely hard.  Two weeks leave is a little bit of a tease!

We are going to miss him, but we only have until mid-summer so not too much longer.  It's only been a day though and my sweet little girl has already started acting out and mentioning that "Daddy had to go back to Afghanistan".  Poor thing.  Just ready for all of us to have our normal lives back!

While on vacation, my husband bought me a Canon Rebel t2i and I am absolutely in love with it!!  I had been begging for one for a few months now.  He was probably just tired of hearing about it.  Haha  The beach we were staying at was about 15 minutes from Eglin Air Force Base.  So we used that to our advantage and purchased it from the PX there so NO tax!  Yay.  So lots more pictures are coming the blog's way because I'm obsessed.  I am also starting a beginners photography class next week and I am so excited.  Below are a few pictures that I have taken and worked with so far!

I don't know that this book really helped me in any way.  But, I did read it because my husband is in the Army.  I read it the first time when we were stationed at Fort Bragg.  The book is a true story that is also based on Fort Bragg.  It is a very interesting read.  But be careful if you are an "Army Wives" fan because it does give some spoilers.  :)

My first blog award!

I was awarded my first blog award tonight from Courage Is Not An Image.  I was so surprised and excited!  I just recently got into blogging and have really been enjoying it, but I have like mine isn't up to par with some of the great ones that I have come across.  So it was very nice to get this from a blogger friend!  Thank you Lacey!

Life is good.

Are you ever just in one of those moods when every thing is great?!  I have been in one of those for the last few days.  I have just been reminded lately over and over that I am a very luck girl and that I have been blessed with so much!  A constant good mood is a nice thing.  Maybe its the fact that my sweet husband will be here for R&R very shortly or maybe I'm just happy.  I don't know but I am all smiles! I hope that this new week brings smiles to all of you as well!  :)
